Feature Series: Lady in Red

In the spirit of the season, Eid Mubarak!🕌🎉🎉🎉

Hope the sallah break was fun and restful? I am definitely happy I am putting up a post today!

On today’s feature series, we are featuring  Anave Ozisule in “Lady in Red”💃🏽

height: 5’7

hobbies: Writing and shopping.

Thought’s on the shoot: It was good catching up with you Zubie, love what you are doing with the blog, it’s very unique. The shoot was fun and spontaneous!

First outfit

My muse, model Anave is an old friend, we shared good times way back in school. She is pretty and she suits her role, don’t you think?

When I thought about this particular theme, I was thinking of the words: Red, Woman, independence, power, sex appeal…the likes. A lady who is her own boss. The lady in red is someone who started from scratch and built herself up. She now owns a full blown office somewhere in V.I (Lagos)/ Maitama (Abuja). She pays her bills, owns her cars, her apartment. (Think Oprah Winfrey, Kim Kardashian, Linda Ikeji, Genevieve Nnaji, Chimamanda Adichie, Tiwa Savage, to name but a few)

Outfits are definitely formal and work inspired but also confident and sexy, that is why I chose the colour red.

Pairing bright red colored outfits with monochrome is always a win, and the nude shoes are safe, not predictable and trendy.

⬆️⬆️⬆️This is definitely the modern woman’s dream, at least it should be.

The second outfit; I have mad love for, the gown is just EVERYTHING! Infact it IS the theme. Very chic and classy, the brooch was the perfect accessory.❤️💯

Her facial expression and poise also gave life to the theme, she became the Lady. The Lady in Red is where she is today with little or no help from anyone and she is proud of it. She makes no apologies.

She probably has a man in her life, one who compliments her. She doesn’t depend on him materially but then he knows his place in her life and he is there for her and vice versa. He is not intimidated by her success because he has his own empire. They are a power couple, and every where they go together…📸📸📸 (Think Beyonce and Jayz, Cookie and Luscious Lion 😀)

Well….whew, I hope I have painted the perfect picture🤗 It’s ok, oya, wake up from your dream!😩😄 But then, it becomes a reality if we work for it…

On another note, I am well away I was meant to put up the finale to Ray’s lust on Tuesday, a lot of you actually pinged and even called to ask for it, but the author is indisposed and I promise you by the weekend, it would be up, so please stay tuned and excuse the delay💋

    Very very very interesting piece.

Theres an old American movie about the woman in red, can’t remember what it’s called. Just saying.

The footwear is what I’m out for, i would have been OK with the red gown but I don’t really like the slit.
